U.S. Department
of State - Safe Travel Advice
The
U.S. Department of State's Web site
contains important information on
safe travel abroad. I have
included their travel tips here, but
with a change, I reformatted the
information for easy reading.
Their advice includes how to dress,
what to pack, important paperwork,
terrorism and much more. For
more information, I have included
several links to the State
Department's web site.

Travel Information - By Land, By Sea, By Air
The range of things to consider while planning a trip can be
mind-boggling. Here are some travel links to my web
pages that could help.
Access my web page on camping it could be a great way
to save money. This was something we did with my my
children. If it was wasn't for camping we
wouldn't have had a vacation some years because we were on a
tight budget. The best way to get your feet wet
camping, for the first time, is to do an overnighter
somewhere close to your home.

My Personal Experiences
Avoiding Problems While Traveling
During my
travels unfortunately I crossed paths with muggers and other thieves.
Too many times I was in the wrong place
at the wrong time. Like the time I was a
teenager and accosted by a pedophile.
The stories I wrote are mostly about me.
My travels also include local trips around
town. I also wrote about my home
being burglarized several times.
Thievery is the dirty secret of the
travel industry. You wouldn’t find any
information on this hazard in their
slick travel brochures or advertisements.
One of
the ways, I was able to avoid problems
was by not letting my guard down.
When there was a fireworks display and
everone was looking up, I was looking around at the people. Their body
language and eyes are sometimes a clue
of a possible pick-pocket or purse
snatcher.
